Linking to the related events in our world

Linking to related events is a basis for a perosnal and communal theology which is both reflective and motivating to action.   For me,  the key element and result of any reflection process is the discovery of something to DO as a result;  a mission.  In the daily banter of Weblogging,  and in the extremely active "punditry" we find there,  we have a "ClearingHouse" of widely available,  linkable,  usable sources of dialogue around a wide variety of topics.  The feature of  many weblogs called News Aggregation allow one weblog to "subscibe" to another.  This feature acts as a notification that the weblogs one has "marked" as our own personal "ones to watch" will give us a list,  every hour, of the updates to one's chosen weblogs,  and an easy link to pop any of these references into the weblog editor ,  ready for the adding of one's own slant or reaction to the post.

This linking to the refelections of others is a string case,  in my estimation,   to a very powerful way of reflecting together as a community in a very timely fashion.   It is a way to enable quick response to breaking news,   literally as quick as many of the professional news outlets get them,  but then the process of "theologizing" about them becomes almost a nutural outflow of the Weblog of a theologically inclined individual (which applies to any Christian, Jew,  or theistic thinker of any sort who wants to relate to their world with a mind to how things ought to be;  how things are "on earth as they would be in heaven")   For me,  this process of dialogue with world events in the context of a faith community is a powerful reason to be excited about Weblogs;  in particular, the "theobloggers".
