Common Causes Are Paramount
The crucial link between those who claim a divine allegiance is, or should
be, a service to the world. That there is something amiss in the way things
are in many segments of life and society, and to point to and live a better
alternative. To model the values of the Kingdom of God, which Jesus summed
up as "servanthood" , has been expressed in many forms through people and
communities who have seen a vision for what should be; even what "can be",
and go about re-ordering their lives to work toward this vision.
The crucial piece to the success of the Church is for its parts (parts
of the body which Paul describes) to be open and receptive to the call
of God, and this will have something to do with equipping people to stand
against the mainstream value systems (such as consumerism).
