Whats coming Next?

To continue from my post about the pending sooner-than-expected end to my contract work,  I am trying to celebrate the "restoration" of the sense of purpose and excitement I feel about the things that began back in late June at Old Saint George.  I plan to be up there again a week from tomorrow for the weekend.

The Contract work has given me a foot in the door and a head start on adding some Cold Fusion capabilities and knowledge to my "web arsenal".  I have at least another three to cram as much as I can into that time and add just a little bit of cushion to help us along until the next infusion of income.  I hope I can perhaps still grab a "Server Farm Night Watchman" job with a company that provides backbone and Server farm services for Internetcompanies, ISP's and web Hosting companies.  The pay is not great but there would be time to "study" and do various Web work while getting paid to babysit Webservers and answer alarms (usually by calling a central location elsewhere).  I hope that I may be able to acquire one of those postions to pick up after my present postion is done (and there may yet be other work to do with this present company if additional project needs arise afterwards.  Also,  my present supervisor assured me he would gladly and confidently give me a good reference.   An uplifting and postiive twist to an otherwise unpleasant too-early end to what I had hoped would be a longer stint.  It could be extended,  but I don't feel real confident of that.

I'm doing OK, though.  4 hours ago I was pretty dejected when I learned of the limited time I had left to have this wonderful weekly check.  NOw,  as I mull this over before my Weblog audience (whomever that may be),  I lean on the sense of anticipation and "things are happening" realizations to keep me looking forward;  and "looking forward to some more looking forward".  I'm happy to be continuing on in faith and a sense that something is in the works,  and that there is a Christian community and good freinds who believe in various parts of this vision I am seeing unfold under the Old St. George umbrella,  and in the Great Good Place" that it houses,  hosts,  and seeks to represent and extend into the online world.
