Radio Userland Feeds Found Lacking. Well, the results are in, and the outcome isn't looking too nice for Radio Userland feeds. I have quietly ranted about the poor quality of the Radio's RSS for a long time, but now, it is time for me to come out of the closet. Over half of headline it... [RSS Engine Blog]

I also work with a product called NXT (from the Company "Next Page" , formerly Folio Corp.) This product is a Web Server Product which runs on tiop of IIS, and serves up Folio infobases, which are document collections that are indexed and searchable, and we have used their product for our CD-ROM based publications for quite some time (probably since the beginnings of this department). They have recently started developing scripting support for many of the functions, which allow us to use ASP pages (and thus free us in our design from having to be too dependent on their out of the box look and feel....we can use our own, and just use some scripts to call some of the key functions (like a hitlist for a search, or bringing up one particular document from a hitlist)

For starters, I hope this blog will help me to organize some of my thoughts and plans at work, and become a more thoughtful, encouraging, member of the team. Sometimes when you get a bunch of people together who are a mix of former IT people, former book editors, former Bookstore managers, and computer graphics designers, there is a lot of opinion that is hard to bring to consensus. My main job is to implement the chosen ideas.

I am a Web developer for a Religious Publisher. But don't let that scare you off (if things like that scare you), because I am not your typical religious person (whatever that is). I don't get offended by four letter words (since that would be VERY hypocritical), and I don't subscribe to a good portion of a lot of what you hear many Christians in the Media screaming about.
What I do like to explore and talk about is web development stuff. While I have a lot of ideas about how religious publishing and Web Development meet and relate to each other, that is something I will explore in the other (like Theoblogical) categories. Web Development is focused on the tools and my discoveries, problems, and hopefully, solutions.
The link to "Web Development" will lead you straight in to my frequent blogs on what I'm lookuing for, working on, and what I have found.
