Judging Amy episode tonight mentions blogging. Donna is writing about some experiment with ants on her blog, and Bruce seems to know about blogs as well, and they're trying to explain what blogs are to Amy. I missed the first part of the conversation, but I'm sure there are people out there blogging this already. My wife caught it first, and said "Are you listening to this?", then I heard it, and then as Donna left the scene, someone who just entered the scene says, "Hey Donna, good blog".

April is here, the day is outstanding outside, so I have opened the windows in my home office and the back door which creates a little breeze across my face and through the little window I created in the bookshelf that I built into what was originally a second, open doorway to this room which was built as a dining area. I built the shelf into the room opening from the main room becuase I wanted to create some privacy from the TV and other activities going on in the center of the house. But I also made it optional (the privacy) by putting the back of the shelf on hinges and installed a hook so that the shelf will hook on to back of the shelf above it, making it kind of like a little opening not unlike the ones you see in restaraunts where they sit the ready to be served plates for the waiters to pick up and deliver to the tables.
Ealier today (before I went out), I was down, feeling "spring fever" and longing for the time about a year ago when we were off on a little four day excursion to the mountains over in Gatlinburg, and then a swing northward along the Appalachians up to Johnson City (of the Tri-Cities) to visit my brother and his family. This spring it is highly unlikely we'll be able to do anything special during spring break (which is the during Holy Week, April 14-18). I got to have a little escape with my Dad and brothers to New Orleans and basketball, but Janet, Brian, and Kelli are shortchanged, which brings it right back on me, and I'm not too happy with myself over that. Which prompts the question on this day which shouts "Spring!" and newness: Is there a fresh start coming soon?
