From the computer to the couch

I've been doing these searches ,  and writing a couple of replies to comments I received,  since about noon today.  I'm weary from it,  and I'm a bit exasperated.  Almost time to relax for a bit and watch The season finale of The West Wing (in about 20 minutes)

Denominational Disillusionment

I've been doing searches for things that might turn up some serindipitous,  hit-the-jackpot, miraculous,  this-is-it, burning bush kind of job.  Actually, anything web development related with some relationship to Church bodies.  As usual,  there's not much that turns up.  I take a gander at the major denominational sites (all except for the SBC/Lifeway,  that is) to see if there are any new movements there.  As usual,  nada.  Sigh.  What's gonna be nxt?  What am I gonna be stuck doing for the next who-knows-how-long?  Why the hell can't the Church folks see that there is work to be done in communicating online,  and I mean COMMUNICATING,  as in connecting people ,  as well as "helping the Church tell its story" (That's United Methodist Communications' mission statement,  and it's a good one)
